"If it was possible I would have given this place 10 stars!!! We stayed in Ruru suite and were very impressed with this cosy little place. Clean, modern and beautiful room. Balcony was heaven. Would definitely want to come back here."

Luxury in a delightful town! - January 2016, from Melbourne, Australia

"Stayed one night, not long enough. Very comfortable bed, small sitting area, and of course the balcony with lovely view. Fully equipped kitchenette sufficient for breakfast and small evening meal if you wanted to use it. Spotlessly clean throughout, very pleasant and helpful hosts. Should have stayed longer."

"The Ponga suite (upstairs) was well appointed: big bathroom with claw foot bath and separate shower; big, comfortable bed; robes; small but efficient kitchenette. Great views from the wraparound verandah. A vase of fresh flowers in the room. Helpful host. Walking distance to restaurants and cafes etc. "

I wish I lived here! - October 2015

"We stayed in the Ponga suite upstairs and had the whole balcony to ourselves, the claw foot bath was relaxing for the body and the picturesque views of the bay was wonderful for the soul. Our only regret was having to leave. What a beautiful and relaxing place to be, truly a hidden haven.

The managers were very helpful in providing me vital information to plan our northland trip and they keep the place immaculate. It was a perfect getaway. Absolutely recommend mid October when it's not too hot not too cold and not many people but the locals."

The best!

"Clean, stylish, particular. Those guys are very professionals and know how to do their job. We Certainly will come back into this great place for our holidays. Best place in Northland 5 stars not enough!"

Booked two nights, stayed for four – March 2015, from Sydney, Australia

"What a wonderful surprise this lovely hotel turned out to be! From the time we arrived we were enveloped with a wonderful luxurious and tasteful vibe. Our suite was gorgeous ... Feeling like a rockstar in cognito we enjoyed water views of the harbour from out wrap around balcony, greats eats from the stunning Indian next door and of course the world famous fish chips just up the road, lovely fresh picked flowers in our room every day and good filter coffee to wake us up ... we were happy as clams. Would we go back? Of course!!! Perfect for a romantic getaway anytime of the year!"
