Bookings

The following terms and conditions refer to bookings made directly with the Old Oak Boutique Hotel. If you have made a booking through a third party (Booking.com, Expedia, or a travel agent), different conditions may apply and any changes or cancellations must be made through their services. 

  • Cancellations can be made without a penalty up to 7 days before guest is due to arrive.
  • If a guest cancels less than 7 days before their scheduled arrival, they will be charged 50% of the total cost of the booking (exceptions listed below).
  • During the peak holiday period (20 December-15 January) and long holiday weekends (Easter, King’s Birthday, ANZAC Day, Labour Day, and Auckland & Northland Anniversary Day), guests cancelling less than 7 days before their scheduled arrival will be charged the full cost of their booking.
  • Written notification of cancellation must be sent to us by email. The cancellation shall be deemed effective on the day we receive the email.
  • No-shows are charged the full cost of their booking.
  • The Old Oak will not be liable for any losses, damages, costs or expenses incurred by the guest if their travel plans are disrupted. We recommend overseas visitors obtain travel insurance. 

Hotel Policies

  • Check-in is between 2 and 6 pm. As we are a small boutique hotel, late arrivals must be prearranged, are dependent on staff availability, and may be subject to an extra charge.
  • Check-out is 10 am.
  • Payment will be collected upon check-in. Any extras billed to the room during the guests' stay will be payable on check-out.
  • Free parking is available in front of the hotel.
  • The hotel and grounds are smoke and vape free and non-compliance will result in an additional cleaning fee.
  • The Old Oak is an adults-only property. We do not cater to children of any age.
  • Requests to bring visitors into the hotel or grounds must be cleared with the hosts in advance, and no gatherings or parties are permitted.
  • Pets are not allowed.
  • Any damages caused to the room or property may be charged to the credit card provided.
  • We reserve the right to cancel a booking with immediate effect and without refund if guests are causing a disturbance.
  • Guests agree to comply will all statutes, regulations, and local authority bylaws and with the staff directives and safety rules of the hotel.

Disclaimer

Terms are subject to the laws of New Zealand. All disputes between the parties shall be determined by the courts of New Zealand, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the same.
