Explore the range of tone, line and texture that can be achieved with this accessible, versatile medium. You will learn how to create instant and surprising results by cutting, scoring and peeling the Tetra Pak carton to create your own unique images. You will also be shown how to prepare the paper, ink your plate and use an intaglio etching press.

During the workshop you’ll develop a series of drawings inspired by the beauty and natural surroundings of the Mangonui harbour, using charcoal and Indian ink, which will be translated into drypoint prints.

On day two of the course, you’ll learn about how to add colour and layers to your drypoint images using Tetra Pak.

This class is suitable for beginners and those who have tried printing with Tetra Pak before. All materials provided.
